The ADP National Employment Report is an independent estimate of the change in U.S. private employment and pay derived from actual, anonymized payroll data of client companies served by ADP, a leading provider of human capital management solutions. The report is produced by ADP Research Institute in collaboration with the Stanford Digital Economy Lab. The Employment Situation Report presents statistics from two major surveys, the Current Population Survey and the Current Employment Statistics survey. The household survey provides information on the labor force, employment, and unemployment. It is a sample survey of about 60,000 eligible households.

Labor productivity is a measure of economic performance that compares the amount of goods and services produced (output) with the number of hours worked to produce those goods and services. Two BLS programs produce Labor Productivity and Costs measures for sectors of the US economy: Major Sector Productivity program & Industry Productivity program. The Major Sector Productivity program develops quarterly labor productivity measures for the major US economic sectors. The Industry Productivity program develops annual labor productivity and unit labor cost measures for US industries.
